About Job

This Cyber Security Governance & Assurance Specialist role provides cyber security governance, risk and compliance expertise to strengthen Council’s security maturity. You will manage security policies, control registers, compliance activities and audit support while contributing to cyber risk assessments, business continuity planning, disaster recovery testing and governance reporting that protects critical services.

About You

You will bring 5–7 years’ IT experience, including at least three years in cyber security or information security, with strong knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF and Essential Eight. The role requires a skilled communicator who can translate complex cyber security risks into practical business advice, influence stakeholders and support risk management, compliance and assurance outcomes.
