About Job

This role provides hands-on cybersecurity operations to protect NASA’s deep space communication systems, ensuring the security and availability of mission-critical infrastructure. You will monitor SIEM systems, manage incident response, conduct vulnerability assessments, and perform forensic analysis in collaboration with CSIRO and NASA/JPL teams. The position plays a key role in maintaining strict compliance, strengthening detection capability, and supporting continuous improvement of cyber defence in a highly secure operational environment.

About You

You bring practical cybersecurity experience across SIEM platforms, networks, and Windows/Linux environments with strong incident response capability. You are confident in vulnerability management, security monitoring, and working within structured cyber defence frameworks in high-security settings. Strong analytical thinking and the ability to operate in complex technical environments are essential, with scripting or threat hunting experience considered highly valuable.
