About Job

This Security Officer role focuses on protecting the department’s technology, information and security posture through cyber security, information security and assurance activities. You will coordinate audits, risk assessments and security reviews, respond to cyber and information security incidents, maintain security records and asset registers, and deliver cyber awareness training that strengthens security capability across the organisation.

About You

You will bring sound knowledge of cyber security, information security or protective security frameworks, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage work in a structured, collaborative way. The role suits someone with clear communication skills, a commitment to stakeholder engagement and inclusion, and the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline security clearance, with IT or cybersecurity qualifications viewed favourably.
