$128,651 + superannuation + regional allowance if based regionally. Salary increases to $135,084 + superannuation + regional allowance from 1 January 2027.

About Job

The Cyber Security Analyst will lead the monitoring, analysis and response to cyber threats, vulnerabilities and security incidents across Southern Ports’ technology environment. Working autonomously and with a managed SOC, you will drive threat detection, vulnerability remediation, incident response, security awareness and cyber risk management while continuously strengthening the organisation’s security posture.

About You

You will bring extensive experience in cyber security operations and strong technical capability across vulnerability management, endpoint protection, SIEM and cloud security, including Microsoft Defender. Knowledge of incident response, threat analysis, security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISM and Essential Eight, together with strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills, will be important.
