About Job

The Cyber Security Operations Officer will monitor, investigate and respond to cyber security alerts and incidents across Council’s technology environment. Working with managed security providers and the Cyber Security Engineer, the role supports threat hunting, vulnerability management, security audits, control assessments and continual improvement of Council’s cyber security posture.

About You

You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Cyber Security, Information Systems or a related discipline, with at least five years’ IT experience including three years in cyber or information security. You will have strong knowledge of security principles, risk management, ISO 27001 and the ACSC Essential Eight, supported by proven incident investigation, analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
